GM Steve Larson

Tum Pai

Grandmaster Steve Larson received his 1st Degree Black Belt from his teacher, SGM Bob Heuer in 1990 and remained a student of SGM Heuer for 46 years until his passing in 2025. GM Larson is proud of his strong Kajukenbo lineage from Sijo to Tony Ramos to Joseph Clark to Jon Loren and to Bob Heuer.

The Kajukenbo Family tree shows the results of his 25 years of running a school in Longview, Washington. GM Larson’s greatest achievement is the lives he’s impacted and the Black Belts he’s produced. GM Larson firmly believes in the mission of Sijo’s BOA to maintain the standards of senior ranks in Kajukenbo.

In 2025, GM Larson was honored as a Senior leader of Kajukenbo Tum Pai along with his peer, GM Mark Moy. Together they are designated as Associate Board of Advisors (BOA) KSDI Members, representing Kajukenbo Tum Pai. They will alternate years of service and share the duties.

GM Larson has been instrumental in developing and promoting the Kajukenbo Tum Pai branch. His dedication to the art is evident through his teaching and leadership within the Kajukenbo Tum Pai Association.
